There has been another virus to strike the internet world, primarily the business world. The name of it is the "I Love You" or "Love Bug" Virus.
Please refrain from opening ANY email message with the word "Love" in the subject. Instead, send those "suspect" e-mail messages to: Love-Virus@OMNIport.net and we will check out the e-mail and send it back to you if it is NOT infected.
The following sites may have more information pertaining to the virus:
Now, here are the details of the virus ... i.e. what it does ....

Once the WIN-BUGSFIX.exe is on your system, it sets the start page to the "blank" page.
Then, it goes through every folder on every drive and infects the files found.
It will also write the following to your mIRC (i.e. your ICQ program) "script.ini" file:
[script] ;mIRC Script ; Please dont edit this script... mIRC will corrupt, if mIRC will corrupt... WINDOWS will affect and will not run correctly. thanks ; ;Khaled Mardam-Bey ;http://www.mirc.com ;
... which will connect you to ICQ and send the virus out to all that are contacted.
For Outlook, it will take your address list and send a message out with the virus attached. Of course, it has the same subject and body as stated above.
Thus, if you suspect that a piece of mail is infected, please send it to:
Love-Virus@OMNIport.net and we will verify the contents and send it back if it is NOT infected.
